Keeping Fit and Motivated…

Ever wondered if your surroundings can change your attitude, if embracing the peace, the beauty and the solitude can motivate you, if exercising outdoors boosts you more. Then try this..........

There’s a sauna here, right next to the beach. In fact, so close that you can jump out of the dry, hot ‘pod’ and run straight into the sea.

It was a cold day. This photo was taken just before we jumped in. I’d never been in the sea in January before, certainly not in a swimming costume and a rash vest. But once the initial ‘pain’ was over with, we kept popping back in after another stint in the sauna.

Be aware that you must book a slot as it gets very busy down there. The turning is just off the A487, Dinas, nr. Newport, Pembs.

Exercising on the beach(es)….

I love my morning stretches and exercises. They wake me up and keep me motivated for the day, especially as I’ve been sitting a lot what with all the editing and formatting for the paperback, ebook and audiobook.

Here are some of the places I have visited lately……

Whitesands (St Davids)

Happy stretching!

Please be aware that the places listed here must be checked out before visiting and the information here must NOT be solely used as guidance. Beaches can be dangerous to get to and to walk on. Please check tide times. Anyone with mobility issues may struggle. Do not go into the sea alone, and certainly not if you’ve never been to these places before. Care must be taken with extremely cold temperatures.

Please see the disclaimer on my home page.

My name is Vanessa Pinnington, aka Nessie the Nomad, a solo female traveller who once struggled with confidence and social interactions. Travel has taught me that even the smallest steps—like saying hello—can open doors to new friendships and unexpected adventures. Through my blog (and forthcoming book), I hope to inspire others to embrace their quirks, find strength in the ‘little wins’, and discover that the world has more possibilities than we ever imagined. If I can do it, anyone can.
