The story so far, follow along to find out more….

Writing a book is the easy part - or at least that's what it feels like once you've done it. You spend months, sometimes years, pouring yourself onto the page, shaping memories or ideas into something that resembles a story. You think the hard work is over when you've typed the words - The End. Then you realise you've only climbed the first hill.....

Writing versus Publishing (my thoughts)

Writing a book has to be one of the most fulfilling achievements I have ever experienced. But as many published authors will tell you, this is just the beginning.

The beginning of a very long process, an arduous process if I’m to be completely honest that drains you of self-confidence and occasionally, momentarily, you think, why am I doing this?

But if you love writing then of course you continue. Giving up isn’t an option.

Here are some of my posts from the past two weeks which introduce me, give some background to how the book was ‘born’, and hopefully will help you to understand me a little better.

My name is Vanessa Pinnington, aka Nessie the Nomad, a solo female traveller who once struggled with confidence and social interactions. Travel has taught me that even the smallest steps—like saying hello—can open doors to new friendships and unexpected adventures. Through my blog (and forthcoming book), I hope to inspire others to embrace their quirks, find strength in the ‘little wins’, and discover that the world has more possibilities than we ever imagined. If I can do it, anyone can.
